Kacchey Limbu Trailer: Radhika Madan Mirrors Jasprit Bumrah's Bowling Style in this Family Drama Starring Ayush Mehra and Rajat Barmecha

Movie Trailer: The trailer, lasting for 1 minute 22 seconds, depicts a conflict between siblings, Aditi (played by Radhika Madan) and her brother, a cricketer (portrayed by Rajat Barmecha).

In the trailer, the brother expresses his desire to abandon his professional cricketing career and participate in a local underarm league instead. However, Aditi confronts him by creating her own team with the goal of winning the tournament.

Bowling inspiration was taken from Jasprit Bumrah

Shubham Yogi, the film's director, stated, ‘When they began preparing for the cricket sequences, he was curious to observe which actor displayed a natural aptitude for the sport. Radhika Madan, who used to engage in underarm cricket with her older siblings, eagerly wanted to demonstrate her skills. As they discussed bowling techniques, she dedicated effort to refining her action. The team examined her execution and watched numerous match highlights, leading them to discover the striking similarity between her bowling action and that of Jasprit Bumrah.’

About Kacchey Limbu

The recently released trailer of "Kacchey Limbu," directed by Shubham Yogi and starring Radhika Madan, Rajat Barmecha, and Ayush Mehra, showcases a story of unyielding sibling bonds and pursuing one's passion amidst familial and societal pressures. Radhika and Rajat portray siblings in the film. The trailer depicts Radhika forming a team and engaging in gully cricket against her brother's team. The movie is set to be released on a digital streaming platform on May 19th.

The film garnered positive feedback at renowned international film festivals. It was chosen as an official selection at the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival, the World Film Festival of Bangkok, and the International Film Festival of Kerala in the same year.
