 Bombay High Court cancels molestation case against Mika Singh with Rakhi Sawant's consent

On Thursday (June 15), the Bombay High Court abated the FIR (First Information Report) and chargesheet filed against noted singer Mika Singh for forcibly kissing drama queen Rakhi Sawant in 2006.

Bombay High Court quashes FIR and Chargesheet against Mika Singh

The Bombay High Court has taken the decision to quash the FIR and chargesheet with the consent of Rakhi Sawant. The High Court decided to cancel the FIR as Rakhi's lawyer did not object to the petition.

Molestation case against Mika Singh

In 2006, Mika had forcibly kissed Rakhi at a party held in a restaurant, after which he got an FIR registered against the singer. Mika was booked for molestation and assault under IPC sections.

In April 2023, Mika filed an application in the High Court to cancel the FIR and chargesheet. After this, on Thursday, the High Court quashed the FIR and charge sheet citing the affidavit submitted by Rakhi, in which it was stated that Rakhi and Mika have resolved their issues wisely.
