Adipurush box office collection: Day 5 for Adipurush at the Indian box office has been rather unfortunate. Despite boasting a star-studded cast including Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, and Saif Ali Khan, the movie has been surrounded by an unexpected wave of negativity that seems to have influenced its weekday run. Following a substantial drop on Monday, hopes were high for the film to limit its decrease in viewership on Tuesday. Unfortunately, this was not the case, with figures descending significantly.

From Weekend Triumph to Weekday Turmoil

Om Raut's lavishly produced saga experienced a robust opening weekend, only to face a dramatic fall on the subsequent Monday. The film, after a staggering Sunday collection of 69 crores*, plummeted to a meagre 16.50 crores* on Monday. This downward trend suggests a disheartening dismissal from audiences, and it appears Tuesday's results were even more dismal.

Tuesday’s Box Office Misfortune: Prabhas' Adipurush

Preliminary trends suggest that Adipurush has only managed to scrape together a paltry 11-13 crores at the Indian box office on Tuesday. Both the Hindi and Telugu versions, which had been fuelling the film's profits, have seen a marked drop in earnings. As a result, the total collection for the day barely surpassed 10 crores.

The Unsettling Comparison: Adipurush vs RRR, KGF Chapter 2 & Baahubali 2

A comparison of Adipurush's box office performance to that of RRR, KGF Chapter 2, and Baahubali 2 over the first four days paints a grim picture for Om Raut’s latest creation. The Prabhas' starrer fell short by a margin of more than 145 crores!

In its first five days, Adipurush has grossed a total of 247.50-249.50 crores nett in all languages. For a standard budget film, these figures would be impressive, but for one of India's most costly productions, these numbers are severely disappointing. After Tuesday’s underperformance, it appears the final act for Prabhas' blockbuster might be imminent, with the collection for the upcoming day anticipated to dip below the 10 crore mark.
