Adipurush Box Office Collection Day 1: Set to Shatter Records, Will Prabhas' Epic Outshine SS Rajamouli’s RRR?

Anticipation mounts as the Prabhas and Kriti Sanon-starrer 'Adipurush' prepares to take over the big screen on June 16. The film's Hindi version alone, being screened across 4,000 Indian theatres, is estimated to contribute around Rs 30 crore to the debut day collection. In the Telugu and Kannada markets, expectations are even higher, with predictions of a Rs 60 crore intake.

Comparison to SS Rajamouli's RRR is inevitable, with the latter having set high standards for Indian cinematic masterpieces. Initial predictions suggest 'Adipurush' might surpass the opening day collection of RRR, which stood at Rs 23.35 crore. The captivating storyline and star-studded cast of 'Adipurush' seem to have captivated audiences, with indications pointing towards a greater than expected turnout at the box office.

Not limited to domestic success, 'Adipurush' is set to make waves internationally as well. The global gross collection for the opening day is predicted to fall within the Rs 120 to 140 crore bracket, demonstrating the far-reaching appeal of this ambitious cinematic venture.

Based on the revered Hindu epic Ramayana, 'Adipurush' tells the tale of prince Raghava of Ayodhya and his quest to rescue his wife Janaki from the clutches of Lankesh, the demon king of Lanka. Director Om Raut's stellar ensemble includes Saif Ali Khan, Sunny Singh, Devdutta Nage, Vatsal Sheth, Sonal Chauhan, and Trupti Toradmal, promising a thrilling and emotionally rich journey for the audience.
