Uttarakhand News: State Waqf Board to introduce Sanskrit in Madrasas; CM welcomes the move, assures all help

Uttarakhand News: Uttarakhand Waqf Board has decided to add Sanskrit subject as a part of curriculum in the schools. The NCERT syllabus will now have Sanskrit as an additional subject. The scheme will be first introduced in the four Madrasas. These Madrasas are Muslim colony of Dehradun, Rahmania Madrasa in Roorkee, Rahmania Madrasa in Khatima ( Udham Singh nagar) and Jama Masjid Madrasa in Ramnagar in the Nanital district.

How it will benefit Students?

Students were taught theology in the Madrasas which teaches about the Islamic and Arabic studies in the 117 Madrasas. But now children will also learn Sanskrit. The students will be able to learn from the NCERT syllabus from classes 1st to 8th. Since Sanskrit is the official language in Uttarakhand, children should not face any difficulty in learning like Hindi and English. Many Parents also want their children to learn all the subjects. Students will be able to pursue Higher Education with the subject in future as it holds great value.

Uttarakhand CM Welcomes the Move

Uttarakhand Chief Minister also welcomed the move and said that the government will provide all help to educate the child in terms of books, uniforms etc.. This Hybrid Model of Education will benefit many students.
