''For students who cannot appear for the final semester or final year exam, the universities will hold a special exam after September. And those who could not pass the exam will also be allowed to improve,” said an Officer. Now UGC had revised the guidelines. And advised the institutions to conduct pending final year exam . Meanwhile at least seven states had already cancelled their examination without bothering to wait for UGC fresh guideline's. Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Orissa, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and West Bengal are seven states who have cancelled their University examination. Thus, the guideline of UGC will affect the examination throughout the nation. However it is unclear whether the states will revisit their declaration about cancelling exam or not. Students are very upset by this decision, #UGC is trending on twitter . They want the government to pass them on marking based on previous semester result. Here is some tweets of students; @ugc_india it's of no logic to conduct compulsory exam in some extraordinary situation in which there physical, mental related problem of student. U r the Guardian of higher education and u dont even think of the student. #ShameUGC— Abhijit (@AbhijtBorgohain) July 6, 2020 The guidelines say the exams are to be held in September. What was the point of postponing them in the first place ? Covid Cases were far lesser back then. If this is what UGC and BJP Govt wanted, why this long delay in decision making which has caused immense mental stress! pic.twitter.com/p1fGM7mifz— Varun Sardesai (@SardesaiVarun) July 6, 2020 Also read who tops in Madhya pradesh - https://dnpindia.in/current-affairs/mp-board-10th-class-result-2020-declared/ ugc finalyearexam universityexam Read More Read the Next Article
