Punjab News: Punjab is set to observe a three-day holiday, with schools, colleges, and government offices closed from November 15 to 17. The break begins on November 15, marking the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the first Sikh Guru. This day is celebrated widely across Punjab, Chandigarh, and several other states as a public holiday.

On November 16, the state will observe Martyrdom Day in honor of Shaheed Kartar Singh Sarabha. The Punjab state government has declared this day a public holiday, meaning all schools, colleges, and business establishments will remain closed in remembrance of the freedom fighter’s sacrifice.

The holiday streak will conclude with Sunday, November 17, which is a routine weekly holiday. With this three-day stretch, all public work, educational institutions, and several businesses will remain paused, resuming normal operations from Monday, November 18.

On November 15, Punjab will commemorate the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, a revered figure in Sikhism. The Punjab government’s decision to declare a public holiday on this day emphasizes the importance of his contribution to India’s freedom struggle.
