 Sawan Month: Sawan Somvar Fasting rituals and rules,what to eat and what to avoid

Sawan somvar has a great religious importance in Hindu religion.The devotees keeps fast every Monday(Somvar) in order to pay respect to Lord Shiva.Kavad Yatra also takes place in this month but from last year due to spread of covid-19 it has been cancelled in view of precaution.

What to eat?

What to avoid?

Keep a day long fast every Monday of Sawan month and abstain from consuming non-veg, alcohol, tobacco, cereals and  grains.Refrain from foods that contain salt, garlic, and onion.
