The entry-level hatchback's RXL and RXL (O) models were both powered by a 0.8-litre petrol engine. With this update, there are now only five variations of the Renault Kwid that are available with the 1.0-litre petrol engine. An automatic five-speed gearbox was coupled to the engine. The reason behind the move? The corporation has not yet made any official announcements. Although the exact reason is unknown, the implementation of the country's new BS6 Phase 2 and RDE emission requirements is most likely to be to blame.
