Opposition Meet: After the second day of the opposition gathering in Bengaluru, the opposition's new coalition, which will compete with the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA), has been named the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA). Prior to the official closed-door negotiations on Tuesday in Bengaluru, the 26 parties had supper together there. In preparation for the general elections in 2024, the opposition parties met for the second time to discuss how to present a unified front against the BJP, which is currently in power.

The leader of the Shiv Sena (UBT), Priyanka Chaturvedi, made the announcement on Twitter, stating that "Team INDIA and Team NDA" will compete for the Lok Sabha seat in 2024. She said, "So 2024 will be. Team INDIA Vs Team NDA. Chak De, INDIA!" The agenda for Tuesday's private talks was formalised at a dinner meeting on Monday with top opposition leaders. The official discussions lasted from 11 am until 4 pm.

The key conference will create the narrative and could prove to be a "game changer" for the Indian political scene, according to the Congress and 25 other parties. The opposition parties are expected to announce the formation of two subcommittees: one to develop a blueprint for problems that should be tackled jointly and the other to finalise the agreed minimum plan along with communication points. In an effort to maintain unity in the lead-up to the Lok Sabha elections, leaders of the opposition parties may choose to avoid possible hotbeds of dispute and confrontation.

BJP-led NDA gears up for influential gathering, seeks to strengthen coalition with new allies

The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is hosting a meeting concurrently with the Opposition meeting in Delhi, where several new allies are anticipated to join the ruling BJP-led coalition. The Delhi conclave is expected to draw a total of 38 parties, and the BJP is eager to put on a powerful show of unity. The first NDA meeting of PM Modi's second term will take place at this event, underscoring the party's dedication to creating coalitions at a time when the opposition parties are actively attempting to unite ahead of the 2024 elections.
