Maharashtra: 22 Disgruntled Shinde Camp MLAs will go to BJP, Claims Uddhav-led Sena

Maharashtra: 22 of the Shiv Sena's 40 MLAs, according to the Thackeray-led Sena faction's mouthpiece Saamana, will soon defect to the BJP. The party asserted Eknath Shinde's appointment as Maharashtra's chief minister was a "temporary arrangement" made by the BJP in its weekly column.

Assertions made regarding defection

"Everyone is now aware that his chief ministerial robes may be removed at any time. In the Andheri East by-election, Shinde's group ought to have put up a candidate. However, it was the BJP that did not do it "said the Rokthok column in Saamana.
"It is untrue that the Shinde faction won the Maharashtra gramme panchayat and sarpanch elections. At least 22 Shinde group MLAs are dissatisfied. The majority of these MLAs will join the BJP, according to the column.

Furthermore, it was asserted that Maharashtra would not pardon Shinde because he had done so much harm to both himself and the state. The Uddhav-led Sena asserted in its mouthpiece that the BJP will continue to use Shinde for their advantage.

The column also refers to a conversation with a BJP politician who asserted that the Shinde group's 40 MLAs control the CMO and run the government.
