Following the arrest of Sateynder Jain and Manish Sisodia and their subsequent resignations from the Cabinet Ministry, the Aam Adami Party (AAP) brass and its prominent leaders met at the residence of Delhi Chief Minister to devise a strategy to build public against the arrest of two prominent leaders.

Arvind Kejriwal had convened a meeting of AAP MLA's and MCD Counsellors to discuss the parties strategies in light of recent developments.

Delhi CM asks party leaders to build public opinion

During the closed door meeting, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal asked AAP leaders to begin the door to door campaign to inform the public that Sisodia and Jain were sent to jail because BJP led Centre became “disturbed” by the success of Delhi Government’s health and education models.

Sateyndar Jain and Sisodia held prominent portfolio in Delhi State Cabinet with Sateyndar Jain holding health and prisons departments and Sisodia was Delhi Deputy Chief Minister, who held finance , education and several other departments in the Delhi government.

Kailash Gehlot and Raaj Kumar Anand assigned Ministerial responsibilities

Brainstorming meet took place at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s residence ,just one day after Manish Sisodia and Sateyendar Jain resigned from the cabinet after they were arrested on corruption charges.

Following the resignation of party heavy weights , Delhi Revenue Minister Kailash Gehlot has been assigned the charges of finance and power, while Social Welfare Raaj Kumar Anand will be handling education and health departments till new ministers are sworn in and appointed in the Cabinet.
