Petrol and Diesel Price Update: Fuel prices remain unchanged on Wednesday

Petrol and Diesel Price Update: Prices of petrol and diesel continues to remain unchanged on December 28 i.e Wednesday. This year, on May 21st, a cut in excise duties for petrol and diesel of Rs 8 per litre and Rs 6 per litre, respectively, was announced by Nirmala Sitaraman. The Maharashtra government announced a cut in VAT of Rs 5 per litre for petrol and Rs 3 per litre for diesel from July 15.

Every morning at 6 o’ clock, the price of petrol and diesel gets changed. Value Added Tax (VAT), transportation costs, municipal taxes, and other elements all affect how much fuel costs vary from state to state.

How to check petrol-diesel price in your city

Petrol prices are revised daily by Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum, and Hindustan Petroleum, taking into account crude and rupee-to-dollar rates in global markets. Every day at six in the morning, fuel price increases take effect.
