Pakistan dismisses India's claims on drone flying over Indian mission in Islamabad

Pakistan dismissed India's accusations that a drone was detected over the Indian High Commission building in Islamabad last week, saying it had received no proof to back up the claim.

Terming the accusations as a 'propaganda campaign by India', Pakistan claimed that the evidence collected in the Lahore blast of June 23 is 'pointing to external forces with a history of perpetrating state-sponsored terrorism against Islamabad.'

'Pakistan rejects these patently false allegations and diversionary Indian tactics and will continue to stand by the people of Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) in their just struggle for the right to self-determination, as enshrined in the UNSC resolutions,' the statement added.

A drone was observed over the Indian High Commission complex in Islamabad last week, according to the external affairs ministry in New Delhi, and Pakistan has been requested to examine the matter and prevent a repeat of such "breach of security."

The incident came to light amid mounting fears within India's security establishment following an attack on the Jammu Air Force station on June 27 using explosives-laden drones.
