CURRENT AFFAIRS NIA: 5 SIMI members convicted in Bijnor IED blast case Anjali Pathak Jul 02, 2022 12:59 GMT NEW DELHI: On July 2, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in Lucknow convicted 5 members of the banned organization SIMI for committing terrorist attacks and sentenced all of them for their absurd crime in the 2014 Bijnor blast case. On Thursday, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) sentenced Haseena, Abdulla, Raees Ahmad, Nadeem, and Furkan, residents of Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh. The convicts have been sentenced from 10 months, three years to a maximum of 7 years as per their offences.
