State Health Department Issues Precautionary Guidelines Although no cases of monkeypox have been reported in the state so far, the health department is taking proactive steps to prevent the spread of the virus. Dr. Tara Arya, Director General of Health Services, emphasized that monkeypox is a viral infection that can be transmitted from one person to another. She has directed that people who have recently traveled to Africa or other affected countries should be closely monitored. Focus on Early Detection and Isolation Dr. Arya further instructed that if any symptoms of infection are observed in a patient, immediate testing should be conducted, and the patient should be isolated to prevent any potential spread of the virus.
