The sole market that this neo-retro-looking motorcycle is designed for is China, and it is built on the same basis as the Benelli Leoncino. Let's have a look at some of the features and technical details of this brand-new bike. Harley Davidson X 500: Powertrain and Hardware The X 500 uses a 500cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine that delivers 47.5 bhp and 46 Nm of peak torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Interestingly, the power output of the engine matches that of the Benelli Leoncino, and the steel tube frame and swingarm are also identical. The front suspension is made up of 50mm USD forks, and the rear suspension is a mono-shock that has both preload and rebound control settings. The motorcycle has a fuel tank that can hold 13 litres of fuel and weighs 208 kilogrammes. All of the X 500's lights are LEDs, and it has dual-channel anti-lock brakes as well as a mono-pod instrument cluster that is mounted in the middle. Although the X 500 has created a buzz in the Chinese market, it's unlikely to launch in India. The country's existing Royal Enfield 650 twins have a strong presence and are likely to give stiff competition to the Harley Davidson X 500. Additionally, the market for high-end motorcycles is still niche in India, making it difficult for foreign brands to enter. However, it's clear that the bike is not designed for the Indian market. Overall, the X 500 packs a decent amount of features and is likely to be well-received by Chinese customers who are looking for a neo-retro-styled two-wheeler.
