IndiGo confirmed the "temporary system slowdown" just over an hour after the issues began, warning passengers of increased wait times and longer queues. The airline's social media posts aimed to reassure customers, stating, “Our airport team is available and fully dedicated to assisting everyone and ensuring a smooth journey. Be assured, we are working diligently to restore stability and normalcy as quickly as possible.”

In a subsequent update, IndiGo explained that the system slowdown was impacting its website and booking systems. As a result, customers faced slower check-ins and additional delays at airports. The airline expressed its commitment to providing assistance during this challenging time.

Netizens React to the IndiGo Outage

Despite IndiGo's efforts to communicate the situation, many netizens expressed their dissatisfaction with the airline's handling of the outage. Social media platforms buzzed with complaints from frustrated passengers. One user wrote, “@IndiGo6E it’s good to invest in new aircraft, but how about improving ground services! This is the scene at IndiGo counters at Bangalore T1 for the last one hour. Additional counters are required; it’s disturbing to see old people suffering. @DGCAIndia please notice.”

Another user added, “Airport looks like a railway station,” highlighting the chaotic scenes at various airports. A third passenger remarked, “IndiGo airlines' computer systems have crashed, and they have a massive backup at airports. I am in Kolkata taking off. Is any place else in India having a similar issue?”

Earlier Incident of Microsoft Outage
