Gautam Adani, the founder and chairman of the Adani Group and, as of 2024, the richest person in India, is leading this financial upswing. The remarkable Rs 11.6 lakh billion net worth of his family represents a startling 95% growth over the previous year. With this expansion, Adani's ranking at the top of the Hurun India Rich List for 2024 has been cemented.

The chairman of Reliance Industries, Mukesh Ambani, and his family have a combined net worth of Rs 10,14,700 crore. The Ambani family, who continue to be regarded as one of the richest families in India, are ranked second on the list.

According to the 2024 Hurun India Rich List, India produced a new billionaire every five days during the previous year, mirroring the trend of the rich getting richer. For the first time in the nation's history, the number of billionaires has surpassed the triple-century mark thanks to this amazing pace. There are currently 334 billionaires on the list, up from 75 the year before.

A record-breaking 272 of the 1,539 extremely wealthy individuals on the Hurun India Rich List for 2024 are newcomers. With a net worth of Rs 7,300 crore, Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan made a significant debut on the list, underscoring the growing convergence of wealth and entertainment in India.
