From Rahul Gandhi to Nitish Kumar, Top Politicians Who Skipped Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s Wedding Festivities

The wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant have earned the title of wedding of the year. A sparkling array of well-known people, including politicians, celebrities, and powerful businessmen, attended the event. However, these prominent politicians were not present at this lavish event.

Rahul Gandhi – Congress Leader and LOP in Lok Sabha

The leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha and leader of the Congress, Rahul Gandhi, was not present at the wedding. It's interesting that videos of him eating at a pizza place went viral recently. Owing to his outspoken opposition of Ambani, there are rumours that he was not invited to the celebration.

Nitish Kumar – Chief Minister of Bihar

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was another notable absentee. Although his opposition party counterpart, Lalu Yadav, attended with his family, Nitish Kumar was not seen at the event.

Yogi Adityanath – Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh

Reports had suggested that Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath would attend the wedding. However, he was also absent from the celebrations and did not bless the newlyweds.

Amit Shah – Home Minister

Union Home Minister Amit Shah was not present at the wedding, possibly due to work commitments. The Ministry of Home Affairs recently issued a gazette declaring June 25th as 'Samwidhaan Hathya Diwas' and amended a rule in Jammu & Kashmir, granting more powers to the Lieutenant Governor.

Top Politicians Who Graced the Event

Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the “Shubh Aashirwad” ceremony at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai. Mukesh and Nita Ambani personally welcomed him, and the newlyweds received his blessings.

Several other political personalities were present, including:

• N Chandrababu Naidu: Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh
• Pawan Kalyan: Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh
• Eknath Shinde: Chief Minister of Maharashtra
• Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar: Deputy Chief Ministers of Maharashtra

Samajwadi Party Chief and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, along with his family, also attended the ceremony.

Other Notable Attendees

Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief and former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, along with West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, were present at the wedding. BJP leader Smriti Irani attended with her husband, and Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi was spotted.
