 Ashok Leyland: Indian Army Places Order Worth Rs 800 Crore With The Giant, Details Here

Ashok Leyland: One of India’s commercial vehicle manufacturers, Ashok Leyland, has received an order worth Rs 800 crore from Indian Army. This manufacturing company has a history of serving the country by providing best-in-class commercial vehicles for several years. 

Now, the company has been offered an order worth Rs 800 crore by the Indian Army. Ashok Leyland revealed on Monday that it won a big order from the army. This contract includes procurement of the Field Artillery Tractor (FAT 4x4) and the Gun Towing Vehicle (GTV 6x6).

The FAT 4x4 and GTV 6x6 are designed for two artillery guns in the forward areas. The FAT 4x4 is efficient in hauling light guns, on the other hand, the GTV 6x6 can tow medium artillery guns over unforgiving terrain. According to Ashok Leyland, it has said the vehicles will be delivered to the Indian Army in the coming months.

Ashok Leyland plays a vital role in the defense sector of India. Moreover, the company has a history of investing in the development of various platforms such as 6x6, 8x8, 4x4, 10x10, and even 12x12 to fulfill the operational requirements of the Indian Army.
