This year US celebrates it's independence day which has been a federal holiday in United States since 1941. For Americans 4th July is the day when in 1776, a declaration of independence drafted by Thomas Jefferson, was adopted by 13 colonies enabling the independence of US from the British Empire. This year the way of celebrating the Independence Day will be the different due to the effect of coronavirus. Several events like National Independence Day parade in Washington DC has been cancelled. For millions of Americans celebrating 4 July comes with certain rituals and traditions, including parades, carnivals, fairs, picnics, concerts, baseball games, family reunions, political speeches, Secret Fireworks, which is also considered as synonymous of independence day, have been also cancelled. But, Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest, which is one of the quirkier Independence Day traditions is still going ahead with various covid-19 Precautions in place.
